Review: Yummi Bear Organics

My kids eat fairly healthy most of the time but they still need a multi vitamin to round out their nutrition. I was looking for vitamins that are organic, non gmo, gluten & dairy free and these Yummi Bears Organics Complete Multi-Vitamin fit the bill. The fact that they are made with all natural flavors and colors are just what I wanted.  Its 16 essential vitamins and minerals contain the proper amount of nutrients which are important for my child’s growth and development.

My kids loved the taste and texture of these gummy vitamins. They are very sweet and so seem a lot like candy to all 3 of my boys. The downside is that there is a lot of sugar in the gummy's, 5 grams per serving (3 gummy bears). Overall I liked these vitamins and a bottle of Slice Of Life Organics Energy B12 supplements I sampled., my only criticism is that they taste just like candy so my kids try to take more than the recommended serving.

Review: European Olive Oil

Olive oil is my favorite oil to cook with and use in salad dressings and I always have some on hand. I recently recieved a bottle of European extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) as part of the Flavor Your Life campaign through Moms Meet. Flavor Your Life is a campaign to educate North American consumers about the benefits of authentic European EVOO.

The olive tree has been revered in Europe since antiquity. Olive oil is a liquid fat obtained from olives, a traditional crop of the Mediterranean Basin countries. EVOO is produced by pressing whole olives and is the only cooking oil that is made without the use of chemicals and industrial refining.

My main use for EVOO is as a salad dressing. I combine the oil with a balsamic vinegar for a refreshing and healthy homemade dressing. My latest favorite combo uses Marc de Champagne vinegar I found while on vacation and it makes a dreamy light dressing that's perfect for a summer salad.

The bottle I recently received was from the European company Zucchi. It is a 200-year-old company that has been owned and managed by seven generations of the Zucchi family.  Zucchi’s point of difference is their upscale taste, quality, traceability (with QR code) and the Italian Art of Blending.
