We had a fun Halloween. My boys dressed up as an angel (?), a storm trooper and a fuzzy green monster. They loved trick or treating but we ended the night with way too much candy in my house. To reduce their stockpiles I paid my kids to get rid of a lot of it. I offered the same rate as my dentist, $1 per pound. I ended up buying 5 pounds to reduce their loads and Joe now has an abundance of treats at work to share with his office.
I'm thrilled that sugar fest is over and we can move on to other things...like Thanksgiving.
Here's my easy menu for this week.
Menu Plan 11/5-11/11
Tuesday: Salmon Cakes, sweet potato fries
Thursday: Pasta with homemade marinara sauce, Artisan bread
Saturday: Homemade Pizza
Sunday: Crockpot Tandorii chicken, Artisan bread

We love Acorn Squash in my house. I have found that my husband and kids really enjoy it when I go savory with it instead of sweet. Though I'm sure the kids would prefer the sweet. I'll have to check out the recipe you linked. Gotta love a crockpot recipe!
