follow the Virgin diet to figure out my food intolerances. I've cut out the top 7 high-food intolerance foods for 21 days and then I'll start reintroducing them 1 per week to find out what is a problem food for me, specifically with causing breakouts. Right now I'm eating vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, meat & fish. The hardest part so far is no glass of wine at summer BBQs!
Here are my goals for now til June 30th:
1. Eat Supper Healthy, no sweets, alcohol or junk at all!
2. Drink A LOT of water every day.
3. Have a berry protein smoothie every day for breakfast
4. Drop my BMI to 22 and loose 7-10 pounds
5. Exercise and be more active as my ankle is able. I still can't do much due to fracturing my ankle April 8th but I'm slowly getting more mobility so I hope by the end of June I can take walks & hikes with the kids & dog.
One of my favorite things about the Virgin diet is having a breakfast smoothie every morning.
Here is my recipe:
1 to 2 scoops vegan pea-rice protein powder
1-2 Tablespoons fiber (chia seeds, hemp seeds, flaxseed meal)
1/2 to 1 cup frozen berries
1/2 cup frozen spinach
1 cup coconut milk (or water)
1/2 teaspoon Moringa leaf powder
I was recently given some Organic India products to review by Moms Meet and included in the box was Moringa leaf powder. Moringa is considered one of the most complete, nutrient dense plants on Earth, containing over 90 nutrients, 46 antioxidants, and abundant minerals. It's a concentrated superfood that is both alkalizing and energixing and is abundant in vitamins, minerals and complex amino acids. I love adding Moringa to every smoothie I make because it is so incredibly beneficial and a small amount packs a huge dietary punch.
I started the Virgin diet 2 weeks ago and the most amazing improvement so far is that my face has stopped breaking out. I'm very interested to find out which food(s) has been causing my acne and in a few weeks I should have a much better idea.
I received this product for free from the sponsor of the Moms Meet program, May Media Group LLC, who received it directly from the manufacturer. As a Moms Meet blogger, I agreed to use this product and post my opinion on my blog. My opinions do not necessarily reflect the opinions of May Media Group LLC or Organic India.
